The Makita 18V LXT Brushless 24" Hedge Trimmer delivers cordless trimming performance with reduced noise and emissions compared to competitive gas models. Designed for landscapers, property maintenance crews, and homeowners already on the Makita 18V LXT platform, this tool-only hedge trimmer provides clean, efficient cutting without fuel, cords, or engine maintenance.

Powered by a single 18V LXT battery, the hedge trimmer is compatible with Makita’s existing 18V lithium-ion battery platform. The efficient brushless motor supports strong cutting performance and longer tool life, while the 24" dual-action blade cuts quickly with a shearing effect for smooth hedge shaping and maintenance.

The trimmer features a 3-speed selection switch and variable speed trigger, allowing users to match cutting speed to the application. A 5-position rotating rear handle with positive stops at 0°, 45°, and 90° provides improved control when trimming vertical, horizontal, or angled hedges.

For added convenience and safety, the electric brake stops the blade within approximately 3–5 seconds after the trigger is released, while a reverse button helps free the blade if it becomes jammed. A battery capacity warning light helps monitor remaining battery power during use.

Built for demanding outdoor conditions, XPT™ Extreme Protection Technology provides enhanced resistance to dust, debris, and liquids. This tool-only model includes the shear blade assembly set and blade cover. Battery and charger sold separately.
